Cindy Rudolph, owner and manager of Catnip Cottage, has been a resident of the Sunshine Coast for over twenty years. She is well-known for her wildlife paintings which are featured in a variety of galleries and shops along the coast. For Cindy life is all about animals! She has always shared her home with an assortment of pets, most of which have been adopted from animal shelters and currently lives with her two dogs and four cats.
Cindy is involved with several organizations concerned with the welfare of animals. She continues to upgrade her knowledge and skills in order to give them the best quality of care. As a founding member of the SC Animal Disaster Response Program, she has taken extensive training and is a trained volunteer for Noah's Wish, EARS ( Emergency Animal Disaster Service, USA), CDART (Canadian Disaster Animal Response Team), BC Oilspill Taskforce, and Emergency Social Services Pet Care Program.
Her commitment also led her into the field of wildlife rehabilitation and for nearly twenty years she ran a small shelter rescuing and providing care for orphaned and injured wildlife.
Cindy is certified in pet first-aid.
